Mike,Too funny!! That brings to mind the time Mom tried to use psychology to deal with Tony's language problem. He had gone a bit of a profane rant, so she cleverly told him to go in his room and close the door and say every swear word he knew in his room because we didn't want to hear it. In any case he swore up a blue streak, words I'm sure my dad had never heard, then was silent for some time, after which he opened the door and yelled down the stairs "Roger, what else do I know"?!!! Maybe Mom was glaring at the wrong guys?Kelli

we had a great day at Regina beach
we shot out there to see Rick and Shelley and Hannah
We got there Sunday at about 3:30
we hung out and visited and went to the fire works
they were good but they started too early
and they seemed to be in ahurry setting them off
it was too light and too early but hey
they were still fireworks and awesome
those of you that know me know that I
have set off literally hundreds of dollars of
fireworks every year for the past 15 to 20
years, Some people invest in plasma TV's
or fancy cars etc.

I have had many hero's in my lifetime some from television or sports although artificial they were there to fill a vicarious void in my life.

I have not always realised that they were hero's at the time but upon times of reflection on my life i realised that they were.

It is easy to get people who have done heroic things and people that are hero's grouped into the same categories.

I have no gauge to measure the level of a hero nor do I have a list in any specific order.

People among the list are friends and family that have always been there and have not judged too strongly or forced an opinion too strongly.

chances are if you are reading this you have deserved the placement on the list.

The position of first and second on the list are tied between my wife and son.

My wife has been there for me through every thing good or bad that has happened in my life
she has given me the strength and courage to get through my life in bad times and she has been there to share and enjoy the good times too.

Our wedding invitations said
on this day I will marry my best friend
the one I laugh with live for and love

the only thing that i could add after nearly twenty years of marriage is my hero.

When you have children you hope that you can instill morals and direction at an early age and take pride in knowing that they are truly good and kind.
I like to take pride in how my son conducts himself and how he has a high moral standard.

I consider myself fortunate to have so many great people in my life.

Throughout my life I have been influenced and lead to believe or accept another persons opinion about certain things or people.

When you are younger you look to roll models or influential people in your world and take what they say or think as your own thoughts or opinions.

As I grew older and wiser, or got more world experience I have become an excellent judge of human nature and have learned to read people better.

When you are a child and you are told the stove is hot, you still might tempt fate and touch the stove and get burnt, you then equate that if the person of influence said the stove is hot and you found out it was, when they say the toaster is hot like the stove you accept it at face value and trust the person is telling the truth.

I have noticed that I have the ability to take people at face value and look for the good in them and try to focus on that strength.

I make my own opinions of people and follow my gut.

I have taken note of people in my life that may be younger or not as good of a judge and have tried to give a gentle warning without blatantly stating that THAT PERSON IS A BAD PERSON SO DON'T TRUST THEM OR HANG AROUND WITH THEM.
and hope that my warning is not too strong or too heavy.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Don Latham on Sunday, May 27th at the Pasqua Hospital at the age of 68 years. Don was predeceased by his father Albert Edward Latham, his son Thomas Edward Latham and his uncle Bob Urquhart. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of over 50 years Norita, his sons, Danny (Ashley), Mike (Cindy) and grandson Tyler, his mother Gladys of Weyburn, SK., his brother Ken of Weyburn, SK., and numerous nieces and nephews. Don was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve, who served at C.F.B. Shilo and C.F.B. Dundurn, where he trained young soldiers for battle. Don will be remembered for his extremely hard working nature and as a hunter who had a deep respect and admiration for nature and wildlife. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the War Amps or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of LEE FUNERAL HOME 757-8645

I enjoyed watching the show Rock Star inxs

yes there was hype, attention whores

people who sold out, people who did not sell out
people whe should have sold out but did not etc. etc.
I watched it to be entertained and when i was not being careful it happened I actually enjoyed segments of the show although all of the above will probably be mentioned all too many times

I thought that Suzie McNeil was talented and well so did many people for a long time through the show.
I personally enjoyed some of her performances and the fact that she performed the songs within her range and did not try too hard to sound too much like the original artists.

many bands have done cover tunes and many bands have done tribute tunes, I actually liked the cover tunes/tribute tunes done on "KISS" :"KISS MY ASS" I am sure that there are a bunch of red necks out there that can't believe that Garth Brooks actually sang a rock song. as well as a bunch of ozzy fans that cant believe that he covered sunshine of your love, and that many people actually think that leonard nimoy and william shatner are not good singers.

anyhow I like Queen , the first video I ever saw was on the midnight special hosted by wolfman jack
it was before there was cable television in regina, before good rockin tonight hosted by stu geoffries( jeffries) before hot rock videos hosted by doug russell ( brent russels older brother)( brent is tylers god father and tylers middle name is brent) we were in minot with mom and dad and this show came on with all the special effects available in the early 70's. hosted by wolfman jack the opening video was bohemian
rhapsody.
anyway I think I need a blog page.
